Promise Walk for Preeclampsia - Cranford, NJ
 
Date:          Sunday, May 19, 2013
 
Location:   *Oak Ridge Park, Clark, NJ* (across from the Clark Pool)
                    
*PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE FROM LAST YEAR'S WALK*                            

Time:         10:00am           
   
 
Events:      10:00am Registration 
                10:45am Opening Ceremony** and 5K Walk
                (2.5 mile path; if interested can also do .6 mile path)  
                (Raffle winners announced following walk)
 
Registration:  $20 for adults; $10 for children. Register online in advance (day of walk registration fee increases to $25)
 
*Free Promise Walk t-shirt with registration (limited quantity so please register early; to be guaranteed size and quantity, please register by March 31)
 
* First 200 participants to register will receive a goody bag!
 
**Dr. Joseph Apuzzio will be our guest speaker at this year's walk. Dr. Apuzzio is the Director of Maternal and Fetal Medicine at UMDNJ (University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey) and is also the Chair of the New Jersey section of ACOG (American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists). We are thrilled to welcome him to our Promise Walk!

The Cranford Promise Walk is pleased to announce that this year's Mission Family will be Larry and Hailey Bloomstein in memory of their wife and mother, Lauren.  Lauren developed preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome at the end of her pregnancy which led to a fatal stroke just hours after delivery of Hailey in October, 2011.  Larry, Hailey, and their family and friends, are honored to be a part of the Cranford Promise Walk and are hopeful that their efforts have an impact on this devastating disease.
