Not until October 4, 2011, had I ever heard of Preeclampsia.
Today, I am the coordinator of the 2nd annual Promise Walk for Preeclampsia in New York City.
I am doing this in honor of my Grandson
Scottie Jordan Cartagena, stillborn at 35 weeks gestation
and for so many others families affected by this illness,
with hope that this creates greater awareness of
Preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome.
Preeclampsia is blind to race, color, age or health status.
