Please help us reach our collective goal of: $3,000
$3,427 raised so far,
Team GERH has 3 Preeclampsia Survivors and our babies from those pregnancies!
Erin Scattergood & her son Dashiel survived preeclampsia
Donna Redfield & her daughter Allison survived preeclampsia
Danielle Hallinan survived HELLP syndrome, but lost Grace to it
Danielle then survived preeclampsia with her daughter Annelise
Team GERH was formed for the 2012 Promise Walk in memory of Grace Elizabeth Redfield Hallinan. This year we walk in memory of Grace Elizabeth, in honor of Annelise Hallinan, Allison Redfield and Dash Scattergood. We are walking to raise awareness, and to lower mother & infant mortality rates so no mother has to leave the hospital without her baby!
I suffered from severe and sudden Preeclampsia/HELLP syndrome at exactly 28 weeks while pregnant with my son. I was placed on bed rest and treated with magnesium sulfate for 4 days but on February 14, 2011, our son, Dashiel Jude, was born via C-section 11.5 weeks early and weighing 2lbs 3oz.
Thankfully, our little man was healthy and strong in spite of his early delivery and 9 weeks later we were able to take him home (with only 1 heart monitor).
Today, Dash is a healthy, vibrant and rambunctious 2 year old. But I fear for any future pregnancies I may have and the complications that may arise within them. And since it can occur to anyone at anytime, I want to help affect change and deliver hope to any friends or family so they will not have to endure the same difficult journey we did.
All about Grace:
At 24 weeks pregnant, I developed severe and sudden HELLP syndrome. My liver and kidneys were shutting down. Grace Elizabeth Redfield Hallinan (GERH) was born via emergency c-section on March 9, 2009. She died March 12, 2009.
Together we are Making Strides, Delivering Hope!
Thank you in advance for your support!!!
